After desigining the basic widget in inventor, I set up a toolpath on a program called Fusion 360 and exported my GCode to a flash drive and set up a block of material in the CNC mill.
Next, I set up the machine with the computer and lined up the tool with the correct corner.
Then, I began the process of milling out the material to create the widget.
This is my final product of my widget after using the CNC Mill.
What I learned:
I learned that using Fusion 360 takes a lot of trial and error and you need to do it correctly or you will not get the outcome you seek. My part didn't turn out well because my tool path likely wasn't set up correctly. In the future I will try to make absolutely sure that I am using the correct tool path so my final product is better.
